Clinical Psychologist
I am a registered Clinical Psychologist with the HPCSA. I have a preference for working with a psychodynamic-orientated approach. However, I understand that clients have different needs and goals, therefore, I endeavour to tailor my treatment accordingly. As such, I am comfortable with and have experience in working with a variety of modalities such as CBT, DBT and Supportive psychotherapy.
I aim to provide a space for the client where they feel heard and understood. A space that allows for trust, vulnerability and transparency. Most importantly a space where a client and a therapist can think together. As a psychotherapist I seek to facilitate an environment that is both holding and containing, a space where the client can be their most authentic self.
I provide individual and group psychotherapy for adults and adolescents, as well as couples psychotherapy. I also enjoy providing play therapy for children (7+). Through my training, I gained a lot of experience in working with individual adults and couples around issues such as; depression, anxiety and other mood disorders as well as personality disorders. I developed a keen interest in working with children and adolescents, around issues such as depression, anxiety problems and coping with traumatic events.
I received my master’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of Witwatersrand. I completed my internship at Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital and Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. My community service was completed at Northdale District Hospital. As such, this gave me exposure to working with a diverse population and encouraged the use of different modalities.

Counselling Psychologist
I am an HPCSA registered Counselling Psychologist. I am passionate about empowering people to live their lives with insight, peace and contentment. As such, I aspire to provide a warm, supportive and open environment that is non-judgmental. My general approach to treatment is guided by my client’s needs, however, I primarily work from a narrative orientation. This means, I work collaboratively with my clients to externalize their problems or challenges, helping them to deconstruct the problematic story so we can begin to reconstruct it. This allows the client to identify their innate skills, talents, strengths and resources so they may call upon them more consciously when needed.
I have experience in working with individual adults, adolescents and couples around issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, bereavement and relationship difficulties. I have a special interest in couple’s/marriage therapy and counselling. As such, I use the Gottman Method of couple’s therapy in my work with couples. I have completed level 1 training in the Gottman Method Couple’s Therapy and am currently registered for level 2.
I obtained my undergraduate, Honours and Master of Social Sciences degree from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. I then completed my internship at the Student Support services of Durban University of Technology, where I gained experience in working with clients that presented with a wide spectrum of difficulties.
