Clinical Psychologist
I am a registered Clinical Psychologist with the HPCSA. I have a preference for working with a psychodynamic-orientated approach. However, I understand that clients have different needs and goals, therefore, I endeavour to tailor my treatment accordingly. As such, I am comfortable with and have experience in working with a variety of modalities such as CBT, DBT and Supportive psychotherapy.
I aim to provide a space for the client where they feel heard and understood. A space that allows for trust, vulnerability and transparency. Most importantly a space where a client and a therapist can think together. As a psychotherapist I seek to facilitate an environment that is both holding and containing, a space where the client can be their most authentic self.
I provide individual and group psychotherapy for adults and adolescents, as well as couples psychotherapy. I also enjoy providing play therapy for children (7+). Through my training, I gained a lot of experience in working with individual adults and couples around issues such as; depression, anxiety and other mood disorders as well as personality disorders. I developed a keen interest in working with children and adolescents, around issues such as depression, anxiety problems and coping with traumatic events.
I received my master’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of Witwatersrand. I completed my internship at Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital and Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital. My community service was completed at Northdale District Hospital. As such, this gave me exposure to working with a diverse population and encouraged the use of different modalities.

Counselling Psychologist
I am a dedicated counselling psychologist with passion for promoting mental health. My scope of practice includes, but not limited to work with anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, relationship and marital issues, trauma, adjustment to life challenges as well as career counselling and development.
I aim to empower my clients to be their true self and to reach their goals by confronting and overcoming the challenges in their lives. I am flexible in my working modality, as I have been trained in a wide variety of therapeutic framework. However, I tend to favour a psychodynamic approach to psychotherapy, which involves exploring clients’ difficulties indepth, in a way that has the potential to create profound and sustained change. Counselling Psychologist
I am an HPCSA registered Counselling Psychologist. I am passionate about empowering people to live their lives with insight, peace and contentment. As such, I aspire to provide a warm, supportive and open environment that is non-judgmental. My general approach to treatment is guided by my client’s needs, however, I primarily work from a narrative orientation. This means, I work collaboratively with my clients to externalize their problems or challenges, helping them to deconstruct the problematic story so we can begin to reconstruct it. This allows the client to identify their innate skills, talents, strengths and resources so they may call upon them more consciously when needed.
I have experience in working with individual adults, adolescents and couples around issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, bereavement and relationship difficulties. I have a special interest in couple’s/marriage therapy and counselling. As such, I use the Gottman Method of couple’s therapy in my work with couples. I have completed level 1 training in the Gottman Method Couple’s Therapy and am currently registered for level 2.
I obtained my undergraduate, Honours and Master of Social Sciences degree from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. I then completed my internship at the Student Support services of Durban University of Technology, where I gained experience in working with clients that presented with a wide spectrum of difficulties.
“The beauty and the pain of our lives is that the experiences we go through are open to interpretation. We can interpret any experience in a way that causes us to suffer, or we can interpret it in a way that allows us to comprehend its beauty” -Teal Swan

Educational Psychologist
I am a registered educational psychologist working predominantly from a psychodynamic
perspective. While psychodynamic therapy can be a challenging process, it allows us to
explore deeply held thoughts and feelings, bring them to the surface, confront and overcome
them. At a very basic level, psychodynamic psychotherapy is an opportunity to be heard and
understood. While my experience centres primarily on child and adolescent work, I have and
do offer therapeutic support to adults and couples.
I have interest in working with:
- Anxiety related difficulties
- Identity and self concept
- Interpersonal challenges
- Navigating life stages
I completed my master’s degree in educational psychology at the University of the Witwatersrand and my internship at the Johannesburg Parent and Child Counselling Centre. I have a history of working with Rivonia Therapy Centre although I also have experience working in remedial and non-remedial school environments.
